This role modernizes infrastructure visibility capabilities while ensuring operational stability, security, and compliance. Serves as a technical and operational bridge between infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, SOX/compliance stakeholders, automation teams, and external technology partners — leading complex initiatives such as platform migrations, enterprise integrations, and governance enablement.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Observability and Monitoring

  • Application owner and senior technical authority for enterprise monitoring and logging platforms (Datadog, Splunk), including platform governance, roadmap alignment, and operational oversight.
  • Lead enterprise-scale monitoring platform migrations, including architecture design, agent strategy, data ingestion models, vendor coordination, and deployment across 5,000+ servers.
  • Define standards for alerting, dashboards, observability data quality, and integration with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow).
  • Design and manage multi-org Datadog architecture, including org structure, RBAC, SSO/SAML, secrets management, and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Oversee SNMP-based monitoring of storage and network devices, including device profiling, syslog/event integration, and NetFlow collection.

SOX Compliance and IT Governance

  • SOX control owner for enterprise monitoring applications — approve monthly reviews, participate in internal/external audits (EY), and maintain ITGC/SOX compliance.
  • Provide audit evidence, walkthrough documentation, and coordinate with auditors on logging, access management, and change management controls.
  • Review and approve technical designs for compliance-driven logging use cases, including SOX audit logs and security visibility.
  • Participate in the App Owner Community for SOX, staying current on IGA, ITAC evidence, and PUAR activities.

Operational Leadership and Incident Escalation

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for monitoring and observability-related incidents, coordinating troubleshooting across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and remediation efforts for complex ingestion, alerting, or platform stability issues.
  • Balance operational stability with ongoing platform evolution and cost optimization.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors and implementation partners (RapDev, Wipro), including escalations, resource availability, and contract deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity and identity teams on security reviews, MFA/SSO integration, and secrets management architecture.
  • Lead steering committee meetings with senior leadership to align on platform strategy, budget, and cross-organizational adoption.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, monitoring/observability, or platform engineering.
  • Proven experience operating in large, complex IT environments with strong governance and compliance requirements.

Technical

  • Enterprise monitoring and logging platforms (Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent)
  • Infrastructure observability: metrics, logs, events, alerting, dashboards, and ITSM integrations (ServiceNow)

  • Infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, scripting)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure environments
  • RBAC, SSO/SAML, secrets management, and enterprise security architecture

Governance and Leadership

  • SOX compliance, ITGC controls, and audit processes
