About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect to define, govern, and evolve enterprise infrastructure architecture across cloud platforms, hosting services, networking, security, workplace technologies, operational tooling, and platform services.

Operating within a complex and highly regulated Financial Services environment, you will provide technical leadership across strategic transformation programmes, major technology investments, and operational service improvements. You will work closely with executive stakeholders, business leaders, operational teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure infrastructure capabilities support business objectives while delivering resilience, security, scalability, and value for money.

This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure architecture leader who can combine strategic thinking with pragmatic delivery across both modern cloud platforms and complex legacy estate environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise infrastructure architecture strategies, roadmaps, and target-state designs aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the design and governance of secure, resilient, highly available infrastructure solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Drive cloud adoption, infrastructure modernisation, platform engineering, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
• Provide architecture leadership for major transformation, migration, and operational resilience programmes.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and operational teams while promoting architecture governance and technical excellence.

Skills We Can't Do Without

• Significant experience in Infrastructure Architecture, Platform Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or related senior technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience working within large, complex enterprise environments that include cloud platforms, legacy technologies, outsourced services, and multiple suppliers.
• Strong background in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, or other highly regulated industries.
• Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud environments, infrastructure security, enterprise networking, IAM, and platform services.
• Strong experience of architecture governance, risk management, operational resilience, disaster recovery, and service continuity planning.

Skills We'd Like

• TOGAF certification and experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Professional certifications in cloud architecture, cyber security, networking, or IT service management such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CISSP, or ITIL

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance.
• Location: UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required.
