About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst
In this role, you will:
Provide information security consultation to improve awareness and compliance with Enterprise Information Security policy, processes and standards
Perform remediation of security assessment review issues, complex ad hoc data, and reporting to support information security risk management
Provide guidance and direction in reviewing assessment findings and mitigating controls to optimize information security
Identify and direct information asset portfolio reconciliations and certifications
Provide advanced data aggregation and data of information security risk exposure
Develop and deliver Information Security Education Awareness and Training in accordance with the Enterprise Information Security Program standards
Review draft and proposed control standards for business impact and recommend modifications or clarifications as required
Conduct security control testing and consultation with stakeholders
Evaluate and interpret internal and Enterprise Information Security policies, processes and standards, and provide recommendations to improve them
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Information Security Analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of cloud security and risk frameworks such as CIS, NIST, CSA, FedRAMP, COBIT, etc.
Experience writing queries and building dashboards in Splunk
Experience working in Agile environments.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with engineering and application teams.
Certifications such as Azure, GCP, Security+, CCSK, or CISSP
1+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL-based analysis.
Experience using GenAI tools (Copilot, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI)
2+ years’ experience with Linux environments.
Job Expectations:
Manage security findings, alerts, and exceptions across CSPM, CWPP, vulnerability management platforms, Splunk, and Wiz (attack paths, compliance issues, CCR), ensuring accurate triage, routing, and follow‑up.
Perform advanced data analysis for deduplication, correlation, and bulk updates, including working with large datasets from CSVs, APIs, and cloud logs
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including dataset connections, DAX development, and Power Query (M‑language) transformations for security and inventory data.
Extract, clean, and shape data using Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, Index‑Match, conditional formatting) for analysis, reporting, and audit preparation.
Integrate data from databases into Power BI, including writing SQL queries, building relationships, applying incremental refresh, and modeling data for cloud security KPIs and dashboards.
Manage workflow and ownership mapping in ServiceNow, including CMDB validation, ticket routing logic, change request processing, and inventory verification across Azure, GCP, and application environments.
Lead recurring customer engagement activities such as weekly office hours, remediation meetings, SLA tracking reviews, and escalations with application teams and engineering partners.
Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, KB articles, and remediation guides to support governance, onboarding, and repeatable operational processes.
Review and validate cloud security misconfigurations across Azure and GCP, including IAM, network configurations, storage policies, VM hardening, and compliance controls.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (SecOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Owners) to track remediation progress, clarify ownership boundaries, and ensure accurate closure of exceptions and resource‑level actions.
