Job Description

This role supports Burlington Stores Supply Chain organization by leading and contributing to initiatives that improve productivity, reduce operating expenses, maximize throughput, and enhance workplace safety through data-driven reporting and analysis. Serving as Burlington Stores subject matter expert in labor management, the position provides guidance and policy recommendations to Distribution Center (DC) leadership across a national logistics network. The role partners closely with DC operations leadership and supports complex, cross-functional projects and ad hoc assignments aligned to business objectives. Responsibilities may periodically require night or weekend work based on operational needs. The position leverages expertise in standard data and predetermined time systems, statistical analysis, operations research, line balancing, material handling systems, and cost justification, with preferred experience in SQL, BI/reporting tools, Manhattan Associates supply chain solutions, and Dematic WCS functionality.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead and execute the development and maintenance ofaccurateand effective engineered standards through time and frequency studies.

  • Assistin management of the productivity clerical team.

  • Define andmaintain“Best Methods” for all job functionsacross all Shiftsincluding training of management and hourly workforce on productivity and work methods

  • Analyze, implement,and documentenhancements to existing work methods, flows, and processes to increase throughput

  • Propose and test new concepts to improve the flow and setup in the distribution centers

  • Identify,propose,and develop improved operational and key metrics reporting

  • Collaborate with operations to create and build tactical andstrategicaltools to meet businessobjectives

  • Support the design and implementation of material handling equipment incorporated into existing,new,and expanded network buildings

  • Support capital projects whenrequiredwith cost justification (Return on Investment), cost/benefit analyses, and implementation

  • Support businessobjectivesforexpense and throughput improvement initiatives through needs assessment, workmethodsflow analysis, recommendations, and project implementation

  • Useappropriate projectmanagement tools to plan, develop, and coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and deliver quantifiable results.

  • Work effectively with external resources (consultants and contractors) to ensure collaborative partnerships to meet business requirements

  • Provide guidance to less-senior engineers and be versedatteam education,trainingand facilitation of engineering principles.

Compensation Range: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00

You'll Come With

  • 4+ years of experience in projects related to processand material handling systemsdesign, work measurement, productivity improvement, costreductionand project implementation

  • BS Industrial Engineering required

  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision

  • Experience with work measurement methodologies and tools with an emphasis on time studyexpertise

  • Experience in best methods developmentand implementation

  • Experience in the developmentand maintenanceof a management observation program

  • Experience in the developmentand maintenanceof an accountability program

  • Experience with productivity tracking, data collection systems

  • Experience with Standard Data and Predetermined Time Systems

  • Experience performing cost analysis for project justification

  • Strong ability to gather, analyze and interpret information and develop,recommend,and implement solutions whilemaintainingbudget

  • Effective communication,planning, organization, andproblem-solvingskills

  • Excellent PC skills – Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
