You will run end-to-end reporting deliverables, strengthen controls, and drive lasting fixes to recurring issues. You will partner closely with operations, treasury, product, technology, and change teams to deliver accurate outcomes in a high-control, time-sensitive environment.

As a Associate in India Branch Regulatory Reporting & Treasury Markets Operations, you will own non-financial regulatory reporting delivery and related operations processes. You will interpret requirements, ensure data quality and reconciliations, manage exceptions through closure, and maintain audit-ready evidence. You will also drive process improvements, including automation and control enhancements, and support change delivery for regulatory and business initiatives. This role requires strong treasury product knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to influence across teams.

Job responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end preparation, review, and submission of non-financial regulatory reports, including PDR, GPB, FTD, SFR, FSU, CRILC, reporting to Credit Information Companies, IBS, Return on Connected Exposure/Intra-group Exposure, and RBS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Interpret regulations and internal policies, documenting key judgements, assumptions, and reporting methodologies to support consistency and auditability.
  • Lead data quality and reconciliation routines, including reasonability checks, variance analysis, break investigation, and exception resolution with upstream data owners.
  • Drive ledger and system reconciliations, prioritising ageing items, coordinating ownership, and ensuring timely closure of breaks.
  • Support funding and liquidity-related operational activities by resolving issues impacting settlements, positions, and reporting through effective cross-team coordination.
  • Manage daily operational and reporting queries with clear ownership and escalation discipline, highlighting risks early and driving closure.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues and implement preventive actions to reduce repeat breaks and manual rework.
  • Deliver process improvements across reporting and reconciliations, including automation opportunities, control enhancements, and standardisation of procedures.
  • Support change delivery for regulatory updates, policy changes, product changes, process redesign, and system migrations, including impact assessment, testing, and go-live readiness.
  • Maintain strong risk and control discipline through structured issue management, timely remediation, and audit readiness.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in treasury markets operations and/or non-financial regulatory reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead reconciliations and investigations end-to-end, including prioritisation, stakeholder coordination, and closure of breaks and exceptions.
  • Strong controls mindset with experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, evidence standards, and remediation follow-through.
  • Strong data orientation, with comfort using reporting, analytics, and automation tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or UiPath.
  • Proven ability to partner with product, technology, and change teams to deliver enhancements and manage change.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Strong judgement under time pressure, with clear escalation decisions and disciplined execution.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
