We have over 6500 employees across 4 continents and continue to grow every day. MUFG Retirement Solutions is the largest business under MUFG Pension and Market Services and we are the leading administrator for super funds in Australia. Many of our clients are household names. We are well positioned within a growing superannuation industry, combining our rich legacy with a fast-paced environment that enables rapid career growth. We are a diverse team with employees from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and we make sure to celebrate the successes of our clients and our people.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Incident Management Specialist to join our Risk & Compliance team within Services & Transformation. Reporting to the Team Leader – Incident Management, this role plays a critical part in ensuring incidents are managed efficiently, transparently, and with a strong focus on identifying root causes and driving meaningful improvements.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll support the end-to-end incident management process, partner closely with operational stakeholders, and provide valuable insights that strengthen our control framework and reduce repeat incidents. You’ll also act as a key support to the Team Leader through reporting, quality assurance, coaching, and operational oversight.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage incidents from identification through to closure, ensuring timely resolution, accurate documentation, and minimal operational impact
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify incident drivers, uncover control gaps, and make recommendations that support stronger risk outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Partner with stakeholders across Services & Transformation and the broader business to promote a proactive risk culture and support effective incident governance
  • Support incident reporting, dashboarding, quality checking, work allocation, and preparation of materials for internal and client-facing incident forums
  • Facilitate feedback sessions, monitor remediation actions, and drive accountability for incident outcomes and preventative measures
  • Contribute to the enhancement of incident management frameworks, system capabilities, protocols, and training materials across the organisation
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure consistent incident management practices and high-quality outcomes

What you'll bring

While not essential, we're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
  • Experience in incident management, risk, compliance, operations, or a related environment within financial services, superannuation, or insurance
  • Knowledge of risk management principles, control frameworks, and regulatory obligations relevant to superannuation and retirement services
  • Strong analytical capability with experience investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and translating insights into practical recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and present information clearly to a range of audiences
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact on risk management practices within one of Australia's leading superannuation administrators. You'll work with a highly collaborative team and gain exposure to a broad range of stakeholders while helping drive meaningful operational improvements across the business.
