InfoSec TVM Team is responsible for safeguarding the security of Akamai's systems, infrastructure and providing internal advocacy for security practices. Opportunity to work closely with product and platform teams throughout the company.

Are you a Security Subject Matter Expert

As a Senior II Security Incident Responder, responsibilities include investigating security incidents, analyzing digital evidence, collaborating with teams, and preventing threats. You will gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The role requires technical competence, familiarity with recent threats, and adversarial techniques.

As a Senior II Security Incident Responder, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting in-depth investigations of security incidents, such as data breaches, malware infections, unauthorized access attempts and more.
• Identifying the root cause of security incidents and determining the scope of the impact.
• Using the central alerting and graphing systems to monitor internal infrastructure and customer events
• Collaborating with various security teams to address threats, enhance defenses, and prevent future incidents by improving overall security posture.
• Overseeing the identification and resolution of vulnerabilities arising from security-related incidents with precision and efficiency.
• Providing training and offering guidance to team members regarding security incidents, potential gaps, and associated risks effectively.
• Staying current with emerging threat hunts and digital forensics tools and methodologies ensures expertise and effectiveness in the field.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 12 years of experience in Information Security and a High School Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 6-8 years specifically focused on Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), intrusion detection, and network or application security
• Understand traditional Endpoint, Network, Perimeter, and Endpoint Detection Response security product solutions, including tools like SentinelOne or CrowdStrike.
• Have solid knowledge of operating system internals (macOS, Linux, and/or Windows) and network fundamentals
• Show proficiency in using forensic tools such as Sleuthkit, Axiom, Magnet, EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, and other industry-standard software
• Bring Relevant certifications such as CHFI, CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GIAC, or EnCE
