Senior ICT Specialist

As a Senior ICT Specialist, you will play a critical role in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting Vanderlande's global IT infrastructure. You will work closely with infrastructure, networking, and operations teams to ensure reliable and secure IT services across international datacenters. This role requires strong technical expertise in server technologies, virtualization, storage, monitoring, and IT operations, while collaborating with global stakeholders in a 24x7 support environment.
Monitor the health and availability of global datacenters and take proactive corrective actions.
Support enterprise IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux server environments.
Manage virtualization platforms using VMware ESXi and associated storage technologies.
Troubleshoot server, client, virtualization, and infrastructure-related issues.
Monitor and maintain hardware and software inventory.
Support storage, compute infrastructure, and backup environments.
Participate in 24x7 infrastructure support to ensure high system availability.
Provide first-level technical support and resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
Escalate complex issues to higher support levels while ensuring timely resolution.
Support virtualization, networking, and infrastructure services across global environments.
Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate hardware replacements when required
Manage support cases while maintaining excellent communication with internal stakeholders.
Apply ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
Support container platform initiatives and contribute to container support capabilities.
Assist with infrastructure monitoring and automation initiatives.
Collaborate with international teams supporting global projects remotely.
Recommend improvements to infrastructure architecture, monitoring, and operational processes.
Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous service improvement.
What you bring:
Overall 12+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure support.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT Infrastructure architecture.
Experience supporting international/global projects remotely.
Strong knowledge of:
Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019 & later)
Linux Server environments
Windows 10 & Windows 11
Experience with:
VMware ESXi 7+
Enterprise Storage technologies
Server and client hardware troubleshooting
Backup technologies (VEEAM or similar)
Good understanding of:
ITIL framework
Infrastructure monitoring tools (Nagios, OP5mon or equivalent)
Network fundamentals and Cisco technologies
Exposure to container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes) is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced 24x7 global support environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
