What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Senior I Radiographer - Interventional Radiology to join our Imaging team with a competitive salary range on offer, dependent on experience.

The Radiographer Interventional Senior I performs a wide range of specialist interventional imaging examinations to a consistently high standard within a dynamic environment, whilst ensuring compliance with imaging policies and protocols at all times.

Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of professional boundaries, they help to create an environment where safe, effective and excellent quality care is delivered for every patient.

Assisting with the running of the Interventional Radiology Services, developing the service to fit with changing demands, this role works as part of a team and under the overall guidance of the Radiology Manager to ensure the highest standard of service to patients, consultants and visitors.

This is a full-time, permanent role with the following shift patterns:

37.5 hours across Monday - Friday

4 x 9.5 hour shifts (0730-1730/0800-1800)

5 x 7.5 hour shifts (1200-2000) (on call shift, rotational)

There are on-call requirements within this role and overtime is available.

What will your duties include?

  • Work collaboratively to deliver a high quality professional radiographic service that adapts in line with new technologies and clinical developments

  • Assist Interventional Modality Lead and management team to develop new and maintain existing Imaging Service policies, procedures and protocols to reflect recognised best practice and ensure they are practical in application

  • Contribute to analysis and management studies to evaluate the effectiveness of the department

  • Use excellent radiographic techniques and modify as clinically appropriate. Have the technical ability to manipulate a range of equipment, whilst maintaining patient comfort and adequately communicate with patients and colleagues to ensure the safe environment

  • Adhere to appropriate Health & Safety guidelines and regulations

What we need from you?

  • Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required.

  • Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration required.

  • Highly developed specialist interventional Radiology knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience

  • Knowledge of the application of different Imaging procedures and the associated risks/benefits and precautions/safety requirements
