The Operations Team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Backup & Recovery) to design, administer, and optimize enterprise backup and recovery solutions across hybrid cloud environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, recoverability, and compliance of critical business data through modern data protection platforms, cloud technologies, automation, and cyber resilience strategies.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cohesity Netbackup, along with experience across multiple enterprise backup platforms, cloud ecosystems, and infrastructure automation technologies. This position requires strong technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive complex initiatives that enhance operational excellence and recover readiness.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer, support, and optimize Cohesity Netbackup and recovery solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
  • Lead medium to large-scale backup, recovery, and cyber resilience projects from design and planning through implementation and operational transition
  • Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) are consistently met through proactive monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement
  • Design, deploy, and support data protection solutions across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and other automation frameworks
  • Automate operational processes, reporting, and platform management using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and related scripting technologies
  • Implement and enhance platform monitoring, observability, and reporting using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and other enterprise monitoring solutions
  • Drive cyber recovery readiness, backup compliance, platform lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and capacity planning initiatives
  • Architect and support secure recovery solutions, including immutable backups, cyber vaults, isolated recovery environments (IRE), and air-gapped recovery capabilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex backup, cloud, storage, network, and infrastructure issues while collaborating with application, security, architecture, and operational teams
  • Participate in technology evaluations and contribute to strategic roadmap planning for enterprise data protection and recovery services
  • Support audit, governance, regulatory, and compliance requirements while maintaining enterprise backup standards and best practices
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 9+ years of Infrastructure Engineering, Operations, or Platform Administration experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Cohesity NetBackup
  • Experience with infrastructure automation, Terraform, scripting, and enterprise monitoring solutions
  • Experience with multiple enterprise backup and recovery platforms
  • Experience designing and supporting cloud-native and hybrid-cloud data protection solutions across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
  • Experience protecting enterprise applications and databases, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SAP HANA, MongoDB, and other mission-critical workloads
  • Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and operational reporting solutions
  • Experience supporting highly regulated environments with requirements related to security, compliance, governance, and audit readiness
  • Solid hands-on experience administering and supporting Cohesity NetBackup in large enterprise environments
  • Hands-on scripting and automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies
  • Solid expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies, along with modern automation practices
  • Solid understanding of cyber resilience technologies, including immutable storage, ransomware recovery, cyber vaults, isolated recovery environments (IRE), and air-gapped recovery architectures
  • Familiarity with container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, including container and persistent volume data protection strategies
  • Working knowledge of enterprise storage, networking, virtualization, and infrastructure platforms
  • Proven solid analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and drive operational excellence in complex enterprise environments

Preferred Qualification:

  • Backup platforms, cloud, security, or infrastructure certifications
