We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water division as a Hydraulic Modeling Group Leader working remotely in Gainesville, FL. If you want to work at a company that will help you become the best you can be, we’re glad you found McKim & Creed.

YOUR DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Growing and managing a hydraulic modeling and planning group.
  • Managing client meeting and presentations.
  • Mentor/supervise staff and work as part of a project team.
  • Develop new business related to modeling and master planning.
  • Preparing responses to RFQs, RFPs or other solicitations for related project work.
  • Involvement in industry groups as a technical leader on modeling and presenting technical papers at pertinent conferences and associations.
  • Occasional travel between M&C offices to support growth and project needs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • BS in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering with FL PE registration or ability to quickly acquire through reciprocity.
  • Master's degree preferred but not required.
  • 15 years of experience in water and wastewater hydraulic modeling required.
  • Knowledge of GIS and demonstrated experience in GIS integration for model development.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with modeling programs.
  • Knowledge of CFD modeling is preferred.
  • Computer programming knowledge is not required but is favorable.
  • Have proficient knowledge of pump station and pipeline design including water and wastewater systems and good understanding of current rules and regulations associated with utility design elements.
  • A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

  • An excellent grasp of the water/wastewater field along with leadership, team building and communication abilities.
  • Asset management experience a plus.
