Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Engineer to join our engineering team for oil & gas projects in the FEED and Detail Design phases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ADNOC onshore projects, focusing on the engineering, design, review, and coordination of HVAC systems for industrial facilities, process plants, substations, control rooms, electrical buildings, and associated infrastructure.

 Job Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform HVAC engineering design and calculations for oil & gas facilities, including ventilation, air conditioning, heating, pressurization, smoke extraction, and exhaust systems.
• 
  Prepare and review HVAC design deliverables, including design basis reports, calculations, datasheets, specifications, HVAC layouts, duct routing drawings, and equipment schedules.
• 
  Conduct cooling and heating load calculations, ventilation studies, equipment sizing, duct sizing, pressure drop calculations, and noise analysis.
• 
  Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards, project specifications, and international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO, and local authority requirements.
• 
  Interface with multi-disciplinary teams including process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and architectural disciplines to ensure proper HVAC system integration.
• 
  Review and approve vendor drawings, technical submittals, datasheets, calculations, and procurement package documents.
• 
  Support FEED studies and Detail Design activities, including HVAC system selection, equipment room design, energy-efficient solutions, and constructability reviews.
• 
  Participate in HAZOP, design reviews, model reviews, technical meetings, and client discussions.
• 
  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to HVAC designers and junior engineers.
• 
  Prepare material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and responses to technical queries during procurement and execution phases.
• 
  Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices.
• 
  Provide engineering support during construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.

 Key Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 
  Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience in HVAC engineering for oil & gas projects, with proven ADNOC onshore project experience.
• 
  Strong knowledge of HVAC engineering design principles for industrial and hazardous area facilities.
• 
  Experience with FEED and Detail Design documentation, engineering studies, equipment selection, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
• 
  Hands-on experience with Air Handling Units (AHU), Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHU), Chillers, Package Units, Split Units, Precision Air Conditioning Units (PAC), Pressurization Systems, Smoke Extraction Systems, and Industrial Ventilation Systems.
• 
  Strong understanding of HVAC design codes and standards including ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO, and ADNOC specifications.
• 
  Familiarity with hazardous area classification requirements and HVAC applications for substations, control rooms, analyzer shelters, and process buildings.
• 
  Experience in HVAC load calculations, airflow analysis, energy-efficient system design, equipment sizing, duct design, and HVAC control philosophies.
• 
  Proficient in engineering software such as HAP, Elite Software, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, SmartPlant, or equivalent.
• 
  Knowledge of material selection, insulation systems, equipment specifications, and HVAC system commissioning requirements.
• 
  Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead HVAC engineering activities in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
