The Senior HR Generalist serves as the primary Human Resources partner for one or more manufacturing or distribution facilities. This role works closely with operational leadership to execute Human Resources strategies while providing day-to-day coaching, employee relations support, talent acquisition partnership, and Human Resources operational leadership.

The Senior HR Generalist operates independently within assigned client groups, balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution to support business performance and an exceptional employee experience.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Build trusted partnerships with site leadership to support operational and organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance to managers on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent development.
  • Identify workforce trends and recommend practical Human Resources solutions.

Talent & Organizational Capability

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring plans and recruiting activities.
  • Facilitate performance management, employee development, and succession planning activities.
  • Support onboarding and integration of new employees and leaders.

Culture, Employee Relations & Leadership

  • Independently manage employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Coach supervisors and managers on performance management, attendance, policy interpretation, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and support change management activities.

Operational Excellence

  • Execute Human Resources policies, compliance programs, and employment law requirements.
  • Maintain accurate Human Resources records and workforce reporting.
  • Support compensation, benefits, HRIS, payroll coordination, and annual Human Resources processes.
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to implement enterprise programs.

CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in various areas of HR with a minimum of 3 years working in a business partnering role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution center.
  • Strong HR functional expertise across all aspects of HR with a proven track record of being a leader, driving change management initiatives, and an ability to solve complex issues in support of a positive work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices, global experience a plus
  • Ability to interpret policies and regulations to ensure fair and equitable resolution of issues.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage several complex projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and build support for ideas and initiatives.
  • A proven track record of identifying & aligning HR goals & objectives with overall business goals, combined with a strong understanding of key business drivers.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others to influence and implement HR processes, strategies, and programs.
  • Experience working with various types of HR systems (ADP Lyric preferable).
  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
