Join our HR Team! The Department of Local Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resource Analyst. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Human Resource professional to provide an overall HR Business Partner support, leave administration, and manage our Talent Acquisition lifecycle process. The most competitive applicants will have human resources experience that includes extensive recruiting experience, leave administration as well as strong personnel and administrative skills with an emphasis on using technology tools to create work products.
Those applicants who pass the initial screening will be invited to a 45-minute interview the week of October 5, 2026.
This recruitment is open to all qualified applicants and may be used to fill current and or/future Career Service, term-limited temporary, short-term temporary, and or/special duty positions over the next six months.
Special duty opportunities are open only to current King County career service employees who have completed their initial probation. Special duty applicants must have approval from their current supervisor to accept an assignment. Current employees selected for special duty will be compensated based upon the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement, King County Personnel Guidelines, or Coalition Labor Agreement for their base assignment.

The work week is normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may at times require work outside of normal business hours. This position is Exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position has been designated as: Non-Mission Critical - Employees who staff county functions or services that may be delayed, suspended, or diverted in an emergency while essential functions are prioritized Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive, department director or agency head, all employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather.
This position is non-represented.
We will work in the office at least three days a week to foster connection and responsiveness, arrive prepared and on time, and structure meetings with clear goals and next steps. The primary onsite location is at King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson, Seattle, WA 98104 and will need to travel to other work sites as needed. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
