Senior HSE Advisor – Solar Farm – FIFO – Mount IsaJoin UGL at the forefront of Australia's energy transition. Having delivered 13 solar farms and 14 Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the country, we're continuing to grow our renewable energy portfolio and creating long-term career opportunities for our peopleThe project builds on UGL’s earlier work in Mount Isa, which was successfully completed in 2021. The new project is a greenfield extension, connecting into an existing live solar farm, creating an interesting mix of new construction and brownfield interfaces.Why this roleBe part of a new renewable energy project from early works through delivery.Join an experienced project team that values practical safety and visible leadership.Influence leaders, coach teams and help shape the culture on site.Work alongside experienced HSE professionals on a complex renewable energy project.Access future opportunities across UGL's growing portfolio of battery, wind and solar projects.About the roleThis is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships and working closely with operational teams.You'll act as a trusted safety partner across the project, helping leaders manage risk, supporting frontline crews and mentoring HSE team members. You'll also play a key role in investigations, audits, safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities across civil, electrical, high-voltage and commissioning works.Key responsibilitiesSupport project leaders, supervisors and crews to manage risk and maintain a strong safety culture.Coach and mentor HSE Advisors and operational teams across a range of construction activities.Lead investigations, risk reviews, audits and site inspections to identify opportunities for improvement.Build positive relationships across the workforce and drive engagement in safety initiatives.Provide practical advice and support to ensure compliance with project, client and legislative requirement.What we offerAccess our OneRewards Discount Program.Discounted Medibank health insurance.Participate in our Wellness Program with AIA Vitality.Benefit from 16 weeks of paid primary parental leave.Complimentary salary continuance insurance.Shape your career with an Individual Development Plan.About youExperience in a Senior HSE Advisor role on renewable energy projects.Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to positively influence people at all levels.Experience leading investigations, managing risk and driving safety improvement initiatives.Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, Diploma or equivalent safety qualification.A practical, down-to-earth approach to safety and a genuine passion for supporting people in the field.Willingness to FIFO on a 10/4 roster and be able to travel via Brisbane for early flights to Mount Isa.About UsUGL is a respected of end-to-end engineering, construction, operation and maintenance services within various sectors including rail, transport, communications, oil and gas, power, renewables, resources, water and defence.
