The Opportunity

Join our People & Culture team as a Senior HRIS Systems Analyst on a 12 month max term contract, where you will play a critical role in the governance, optimisation and continuous improvement of AIA's HR technology landscape, with a primary focus on Workday.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Intelligence, you will be responsible for maintaining secure, compliant and efficient HR systems that support employees, leaders and P&C teams. You will partner closely with various teams to deliver system enhancements, strengthen controls, improve self-service capability and ensure the integrity of HR and payroll data.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HRIS professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and process improvement to deliver meaningful business outcomes in a regulated environment.

To Do This Successfully You Will

  • Coordinate and support system releases, upgrades, enhancements and configuration changes, including impact assessments, testing and implementation activities.
  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), document outcomes and ensure implementation readiness.
  • Monitor HRIS interfaces and integrations, particularly payroll-related data flows, identifying and resolving errors and discrepancies.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and lead issue resolution activities across local, Group and vendor stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, audits and exception monitoring to support compliance, decision-making and system governance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, increase self-service adoption and reduce manual administration.
  • Translate business, policy and regulatory requirements into practical HR technology solutions and system controls.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, operating procedures, test evidence and governance records.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and coordinate remediation of identified risks or control gaps.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide guidance, training and support to system users across the business.
  • Contribute to HR technology roadmap initiatives that improve employee experience, operational efficiency and data quality.

Successful Applicants Will Demonstrate

  • Proven experience administering and supporting an enterprise HRIS, preferably Workday.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS security frameworks, access management, permissions and segregation-of-duties principles.
  • Experience managing system enhancements, upgrades, releases and change activities within structured governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HRIS integrations and payroll interfaces.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Experience developing HR reports, dashboards, data audits and exception-based monitoring.
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, dependencies and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective system, process and control solutions.
  • Excellent documentation capabilities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, test scripts and operational procedures.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to risk and compliance.
  • Experience working within a regulated industry, such as financial services, will be highly regarded.
  • Workday certification, HRIS accreditation or relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business or Technology will be advantageous.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance employee and business outcomes.
