Main Objectives:
The Senior HR Generalist, Singapore is responsible for providing practical, accurate and timely HR support across the employee lifecycle for Arthrex Singapore, with a primary focus on onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, annual performance cycle coordination, reward and benefits administration, HR systems, employee communications and HR compliance support.
The role partners closely with employees, people leaders, the Senior Human Resource Manager, SG-APAC, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance and regional HR stakeholders to deliver a high-quality employee experience and maintain accurate, compliant and well-governed HR processes. Payroll processing is not owned by this role; however, the HR Generalist may support accurate and timely HR inputs, documentation and employee query coordination where required. All duties are performed with tact, discretion, sound judgement and strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate and manage employee onboarding activities to support a smooth and positive new hire experience.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers and relevant internal stakeholders to ensure onboarding actions are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare and coordinate employment-related documentation, onboarding communications, new hire checklists and required employee information.
- Support the delivery of new hire orientation, first-day arrangements and local induction activities.
- Maintain employee lifecycle records and documentation relating to new hires, transfers, promotions, reporting line changes, employment changes and separations.
- Support employment contract, letter and employee documentation processes, ensuring consistency with approved templates, internal approvals and local requirements.
- Coordinate probation-related administration and reminders where applicable.
Performance Season and Annual HR Cycle Management
- Coordinate Singapore performance management cycle activities, including goal setting, mid-year check-ins, annual reviews and related system tracking.
- Monitor completion of performance management activities and follow up with employees and managers to support timely completion.
- Support people leaders with process guidance, timelines, system navigation and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate communications and reminders for annual HR cycle activities, including performance reviews, development planning, merit review inputs, promotions and related employee communications.
- Maintain accurate performance and HR cycle records in the relevant HR systems.
- Escalate risks, delays or process gaps to the Senior Human Resource Manager, SG-APAC, where required.
Reward, Benefits and Wellbeing Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs for Singapore, including medical insurance, wellness initiatives, leave-related benefits and other company-provided benefits.
- Coordinate benefits enrolment, renewals, employee communications, vendor administration and employee query resolution.
- Maintain accurate employee benefit records and ensure benefit information is updated in line with approved company policies and local requirements.
- Support the annual merit, bonus, promotion and compensation communication processes by coordinating documentation, data checks and employee letters as required.
- Coordinate with Payroll, Finance and external providers where required to ensure benefit-related employee information is complete and accurate.
HR Operations, Systems and Data Governance
- Maintain accurate employee data and personnel records in HR systems and electronic personnel files.
- Ensure HR transactions, workflows and documentation are processed accurately, confidentially and within required timelines.
- Support Employee Central, SuccessFactors or other HRIS processes, ensuring employee information remains reliable and fit for reporting.
- Generate HR reports, workforce data and employee information as required for local, regional and global HR processes.
- Support HR audits, record reviews and internal reporting requirements.
Singapore HR Compliance and Policy Support
- Support HR compliance activities in accordance with Singapore employment requirements, company policies and internal governance expectations.
- Maintain awareness of key Singapore employment obligations, including written key employment terms, employment records, leave entitlements, public holiday requirements, salary-related documentation, termination documentation and fair employment practices.
- Support documentation and administrative processes connected with work passes, business visas, employment changes and employee mobility, working with the appropriate internal or external stakeholders where required.
- Support the communication and implementation of HR policies, procedures and employee guidance materials.
- Support the administration of formal flexible work arrangement request processes in accordance with Singapore tripartite guidelines and company policy.
- Escalate complex employment relations, disciplinary, grievance, performance, compliance or legal matters to the Senior Human Resource Manager, SG-APAC, or other appropriate HR leader.
Employee Relations and Employee Support
- Serve as a professional and responsive HR contact for routine employee HR-related inquiries.
- Provide accurate guidance to employees and managers on HR processes, policies, systems and employee lifecycle matters.
- Support employee relations case administration, documentation and meeting coordination where required.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and values-based work environment through consistent HR service delivery.
Learning, Development and Employee Engagement Support
- Coordinate training programs, workshops and employee development initiatives as required.
- Maintain training records and support tracking of participation, completion and follow-up actions.
- Support employee engagement, culture, wellbeing, recognition and inclusion activities aligned with Arthrex values and local requirements.
- Assist with company events together with HR, the Social Club Committee and other relevant stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Assists to prepare letters for Business VISA applications for employees
- Co-facilitate and arrange company events together with HR and Social Club Committee
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- Knowledge of employee relations, HR operations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employment legislation.
- Experience using HRIS systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, or similar.
- Familiarity with Singapore employment laws and HR best practices is preferred.
