The Senior HR Executive – Payroll will be responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end payroll process while supporting key HR operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a thorough understanding of payroll procedures, statutory requirements, and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process accurately and within established timelines.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, statutory deductions, and other employee payments.
- Handle payroll-related queries and provide timely support to employees.
- Coordinate with Finance and other relevant departments to ensure smooth payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory payroll requirements.
- Prepare payroll reports and relevant management reports when required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee and payroll records.
- Support audits and provide payroll-related documentation as required.
- Assist with HR administration and other HR-related activities as assigned.
- Identify payroll discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in HR and payroll, preferably within a manufacturing or large-scale organization.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Good knowledge of Sri Lankan payroll practices and statutory requirements.
- Experience handling EPF, ETF, PAYE/APIT, attendance, overtime, leave, and other payroll-related matters.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HR/payroll systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict payroll deadlines.
- Willingness to work from Ekala.
