Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HR Coordinator to support the Human Resources function within its Engineering department. The successful candidate will act as the main HR point of contact for employees and management, providing support across recruitment, HR administration, employee relations, training, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the recruitment process for approved vacancies, including updating job descriptions, screening applications, scheduling and attending interviews, and supporting candidate selection.
• Coordinate the onboarding and induction of new employees.
• Maintain effective communication with candidates and support the collection of required employment and work permit documentation.
• Manage daily HR administration, including engagements, terminations, work permits, identification cards, sick leave, and injuries on duty.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, employment legislation, and applicable collective agreements.
• Act as the main point of contact for Engineering employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
• Support employee engagement, motivation, and welfare initiatives.
• Coordinate training needs analysis and learning and development initiatives.
• Support the performance management process.
• Assist with disciplinary matters and employee relations issues.
• Coordinate team-building activities and employee events.
• Maintain accurate employee records across relevant HR and internal systems.
• Prepare weekly, biweekly, and monthly HR reports as required.
• Support HR projects and other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a Human Resources role.
• A Level standard of education or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Maltese employment legislation is considered an advantage.
• Experience with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
• Knowledge and experience using Human Resources Information Systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Fluency in Maltese or Spanish is considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Confident and professional approach when dealing with employees and management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider Human Resources team.
• High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
