Ready to build your own client base within a supportive, established practice? Keep reading.
We're looking for an experienced, senior HR professional with genuine entrepreneurial drive. Someone who wants to actively bring their own clients and relationships into the practice, build on them, and grow a client base of their own, backed by a supportive, experienced team. This is a true consulting role: client-facing, commercially focused, and built for someone who wants more than a technical HR job - you want to build something that's yours.
Our Auckland-based HR consulting team is growing, and we're looking for HR professionals who want to build something of their own. You'll join a well-established HR and health and safety consultancy within a leading professional services firm, delivering tailored HR advisory services to a wide range of clients across New Zealand.
Your role, your contribution
Bring genuine entrepreneurial drive to the role - actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to bring in your own clients and relationships, win new work, and grow your own client base
Build, grow and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser rather than just a problem-solver
Contribute to the wider growth of the HR consulting practice through networking, referrals and business development activity
Provide practical, technically sound HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, including employment relations, performance, remuneration, recruitment, change and compliance
Confidently pivot between multiple clients and competing priorities, consistently delivering an exceptional client experience, every time
Balance reactive client demands with planned delivery across multiple clients, industries and risk profiles
The benefits of joining us
A compressed work week (9-day fortnight) and hybrid working
Flexible work schedules and environments for genuine work-life balance
Defined career development pathways and ongoing investment in training
Genuine autonomy to shape client outcomes and grow your own portfolio
Client referral scheme that rewards you for bringing in new business
Health Insurance plus other corporate benefits
What you bring to the role
Proven generalist HR experience at a senior level, including strong employment relations capability
A tertiary qualification in HR, employment law or a related discipline is preferred
Experience in an agency, professional services or consulting environment, and an understanding of the demands of external consulting and project-based work
A genuine interest in building and growing a client base, with a commercially minded, business development focus
High standards of professionalism and communication, with a passion for continuous improvement
Strong written and verbal communication, sound professional judgement and risk awareness
A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently
If this role sounds like a good fit, apply now!
