In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to leaders at all levels on all HR-related and labor law matters. You will actively shape and support change initiatives and contribute to the implementation of an effective HR strategy at the German site in alignment with overall business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted sparring partner to leaders at all levels on all HR and labor law matters
  • Provide proactive advice on organizational development, workforce and succession planning, talent management, and performance management topics
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from hiring to termination
  • Advise on and implement individual HR measures in compliance with applicable labor law requirements
  • Independently manage the recruitment of specialists and leadership positions
  • Initiate, lead, and support HR projects as well as cross-functional change initiatives self-responsibly
  • Maintain a constructive and trust-based collaboration with the works council
  • Ensure professional and solution-oriented communication in all co-determination matters
  • Independently design, draft, and negotiate works agreements in close coordination with the works council
  • Strategic support of re-organization measures
  • Representation of the organization in court proceedings concerning the area of responsibility
  • Close collaboration with HR Payroll, HR Business Support, HR Business Partners and HR Managers of all German locations

Education

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Law, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in both operational and strategic HR roles
  • Experience in an international manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with HR business systems (i.e. Ultimate, SuccessFactors, SAP HCM) and MS Office applications would be preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with workplace laws, regulations, employment trends, strong understanding of labor law, collective agreements, unions and works councils.
  • Work effectively under pressure whilst not compromising professional standards.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Objective, approachable and able to interact effectively with all levels of employees both in person and virtually in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Strong communication both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues and handling sensitive confidential data to meet data privacy compliance requirements.
  • Work with minimum of supervision.

Travel Requirements

5%: Up to 13 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • Position operates in a professional office environment. May stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Read and interpret data, information and documents.
  • Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
  • Ability to make independent and sound judgments.
  • Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems.

Pay Transparency:

The annual base salary range for this position is €71,700.00 - €91,200.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.

This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
