Job Description

Roboyo is a category shaper in Agentic Automation. We help leading brands embed autonomous, AI‑powered agents into their workflows, processes, products and services so they can scale faster and operate smarter.

Built on a strong automation heritage, we focus on seamless integration of AI into enterprise level organization, not just proving concepts, but owning outcomes and driving value in every industry we are present. At Roboyo, you’ll join a global team of builders, consultants and engineers that are top practitioners of taking solutions to the next level for clients in pursuit of excellence.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior HR Advisor with deep expertise in India payroll and labour law compliance to join our HR team in Hyderabad.

You'll be the subject matter expert on payroll operations and statutory compliance for our India workforce, working closely with our payroll vendor (ADP), supporting employees with compensation queries, and keeping us on the right side of an evolving regulatory landscape, including under the new Labour Codes.

You will also be responsible for supporting onboarding, employee relations, performance, engagement, and people operations. As we grow and automate more of our routine processes, there is genuine opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and help shape how the function evolves. If you want to build and grow, this is the right environment for you!

What You'll Do

  • Own the collaboration with ADP: managing payroll inputs, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate, timely processing
  • Be the go-to person for employees on payslips, statutory deductions, tax declarations, and take-home reconciliation
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Shops & Establishments Act, and related statutory requirements
  • Monitor developments under India's new Labour Codes and translate regulatory changes into practical action
  • Maintain compliance documentation and support audits as required
  • Support end-to-end onboarding for new joiners
  • Manage day-to-day employee queries across policies, processes and benefits.
  • Support managers on employee relations matters, performance conversations, PIPs, grievances, and disciplinary processes
  • Coordinate performance review cycles
  • Maintain accurate employee records and system data integrity
  • Support engagement initiatives and pulse surveys
  • Contribute to HR policy reviews and ensure they stay current and compliant
  • Partner with the global HR team on cross-regional projects and initiatives

What You Bring

  • 5–8 years of HR experience with mandatory, hands-on India payroll experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance, including the new Labour Codes
  • Experience working with payroll vendors or platforms; ADP experience is a plus
  • Ability to explain payroll and compliance topics clearly to employees, managers, and leadership
  • Generalist HR knowledge. Comfortable moving between compliance, operations, and people matters
  • A process improvement mindset, you look for ways to make things work better, not just keep them running
  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment is highly desirable
  • Prior experience working in international teams and with senior stakeholders is highly desirable

What We Offer

  • A clearly defined area of expertise with genuine room to grow into a broader HR remit over time
  • The chance to help shape how our function evolves as the company scales
  • Work with an international HR team on meaningful initiatives and a supportive team
  • Hybrid flexibility
  • Medical allowance benefit
  • Be part of a company at the forefront of AI and digital transformation

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
