Job Description

Senior Advisor Business Partnering

  • Location: 6 Parramatta Square with flexible working arrangements
  • Employment type: Temporary, full-time (multiple opportunities available across four HR Business Partner teams), with contract durations ranging from 5 to 9 months. A talent pool will also be established for future temporary and ongoing opportunities
  • Salary: Clerk 9/10, $129,464 to $142,665 plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Partner with the business and other areas within Human Resources to deliver best practice HR strategies, services and advice in the relevant area within HR or a range of areas, such as recruitment, legislation, change management, job design, learning and development, WH&S, workforce planning, performance, employee relations, industrial relations and talent management to support the business in achieving their objectives and deliver on major reform and strategic priorities.

What you’ll do

The role partners with managers at all levels to deliver best practice HR advice and consultancy services to support Youth Justice achieve its objectives. This includes:

  • Interpret legislation, awards, policies and procedures to support effective workplace management.
  • Manage employee matters including non-work-related injuries or health conditions, grievances, attendance, and underperformance.
  • Advise and support change management, recruitment and selection, and annual performance management processes.
  • Lead operational workforce planning and establishment management quality assurance.
  • Support workplace culture alignment with DCJ Values.

What we’re looking for

In addition to meeting the essential requirements, you must demonstrate the capability to:

  • Build strong relationships with management to act as a trusted HR advisor.
  • Lead, coach and support managers and staff across a range of HR matters and workforce strategies.
  • Research, analyse and present HR information to provide strategic recommendations aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, use systems effectively, coordinate multiple priorities, and maintain resilience in a fast-paced environment.
