Salary Range:

$46,947.00 - $65,726.00The Senior HIM Technician is a mid-level position responsible for advanced health information management processes within the Albany Med Health System (AMHS). this role focuses on complex indexing, deficiency and quality analysis of incoming clinical documentation (medical records) for AMHS' inpatient and outpatient facilities/services. This position supports the delivery of quality healthcare by ensuring patients information is complete, accurate and accessible in a timely manner.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate, bachelor's or master's degree in HIM or related field preferred

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

  • RHIA, RHIT preferred.

Experience:

  • 2 or more years of experience in Health Information Management (HIM) operations or related field, which a focus on EHR systems such as EPIC and OnBase required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) quality measures.
