, where you’ll be at the forefront of managing and growing our talented Health and Safety team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the provision of construction safety consultancy services, (including fulfilling the role of PSDP) on a wide range of both renewable energy projects and on “standard” construction projects;
  • Lead the delivery of Occupational Health & Safety consultancy services and Health & Safety advisory services;
  • Promote a safety culture throughout MKO;
  • Lead the growth and development of our Galway Health & Safety services team.

What we’re looking for in you

We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional with a passion for shaping sustainable and safe work environments, combined with strong leadership and client engagement skills.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in Safety and Health; and have at least 5 years work experience in a health & safety role, with experience in:

  • Third level qualification in Safety and Health
  • At least 5 years work experience in a Health & Safety role

Experience in:
  • Leading Health & Safety consultancy services delivery
  • Fulfilling the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP)
  • Undertaking auditing / inspections / accident or incident investigations
  • Evaluating contractor Risk Assessment and Method Statements
  • Company Health & Safety reviews and audits
  • Developing staff Health & Safety training plans

Ideally, you will also possess:
  • PSDP Training Course
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certification
  • QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor
  • Solas accredited Safe pass trainer
  • Business development experience
  • Renewables energy projects experience
