Join our team as a Senior Health and Safety Consultant, where you’ll lead our Occupational Health and Safety service offering and champion a strong safety culture throughout MKO. You will be at the forefront of managing and growing our talented Health and Safety team.

Your expertise will be vital in overseeing the preparation and delivery of a wide range of Health & Safety consultancy services. You will act as Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) on a diverse portfolio of projects, from renewable energy to construction. You will ensure every project not only meets all safety and regulatory standards but also adheres to timelines and client expectations.

What we’re looking for in you
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional with a passion for shaping sustainable and safe work environments, combined with strong leadership and client engagement skills.
Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in Safety and Health.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a health & safety role, with a proven track record of leading consultancy services and acting as a PSDP.

Demonstrated experience in:

  • Leading Health & Safety consultancy service delivery.
  • Fulfilling the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP).
  • Undertaking auditing, inspections, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Evaluating contractor risk assessments and method statements.
  • Developing company health & safety reviews and audits.
  • Developing staff health and safety training plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Ideally, you will also possess:

  • PSDP Training Course.
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certification.
  • QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor
  • Solas-accredited Safe Pass trainer qualification.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a track record in business development.
  • Experience with renewable energy projects.
  • Visionary leadership with a collaborative and inclusive management style.
