We are seeking a Senior level Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join the Honeywell Industrial Automation (IA) and Richardson team. This individual will be a member of the Honeywell Sensing Solutions (HSS) HSE Leadership Team, responsible for driving HSE continuous improvement, compliance, and engagement within HSS and the Richardson facility. The role reports to the HSS/IMC Sr. Director HSE and has multiple direct reports.

As an HSE Sr Manager, the successful candidate must be results driven and able to develop strong relationships with HSS factories leadership team. The candidate must be compliance focused and provide hands-on support with the ability to deploy continuous improvement through a strong MOS; to drive goals, objectives, improve culture and behaviors.

We are looking for a strong people and process leader, capable of managing, coaching/mentoring HSE professionals across a Strategic Business Group. The individual must be a well-rounded leader that can manage health, safety and environmental programs in a field or construction environment and able to coach/mentor a team of HSE professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a compliance strategy; both Honeywell HSE Management System, and regulatory requirements.
  • Heavy focus risk reduction through culture and behaviors initiatives.
  • Leading the execution of the HSS HSE vision and mission through deployment of the HSE Management System.
  • Partner with the HSS and Richardson leadership to achieve the HSE goals and objectives.
  • Ability to reduce the risk profile by identifying gaps through self-assessments and audits, gembas, and agency and 3rd party inspections.
  • Strong ability to use HMX/Lean Practices and Principles to develop, deploy and continuously improve HSE results and improve efficiencies.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • At least 8 years of progressive health and safety experience, with increased responsibility.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience in construction and manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred, broad knowledge of Honeywell policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Knowledge and management experience with global aspects of HSE and Sustainability
  • Firm understanding of OSHA’s standard as well as their Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
  • Ability to communicate and influence decision making to all levels of the organization
  • Strong collaboration, program management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously to achieve organizational objectives
  • Mature judgment and decision-making ability with strategic and tactical HSE experience
