
This role is part of the Health Information Services Department, a shared service for the Dartmouth Health health system that centers on the patient’s health (medical) record. The Senior Health Information Specialist is responsible for advanced scanning and indexing tasks to ensure health information is properly stored in a patient’s electronic health record. The role includes complex records management responsibilities for our large paper medical record collection. The Senior Health Information Specialist will undertake quality reviews of scanning and indexing work, provide training and at-elbow support for new Health Information Specialists, and investigate and resolve documentation that has been incorrectly indexed.
