The role

OLX is launching a new Motors and Real Estate platform in Ukraine and is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Head of Business Development to be the first on-the-ground commercial leader to build it. The launch will be seeded with OLX's existing classifieds inventory in a market that already has more than 330,000 vehicle listings, and there is no existing team or playbook to inherit; you'll build both.

You'll build the supply and customer relationships that underpin the new marketplace (starting with large dealers, real estate agencies, semi-professional sellers, and importers) and create the local team needed to run and grow the business. You'll operate with significant autonomy, working closely with vertical leaders of Real Estate and Motors within a broader OLX Group ecosystem globally, while drawing on local market knowledge, relationships, and the existing OLX Ukraine business where appropriate.

This is a full-time role based on the ground in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Build and own relationships with large dealers, semi-professional sellers, vehicle importers, and real estate agencies, converting them into active supply partners for the new marketplaces.
• Recruit, structure, and lead a new local commercial team from the ground up, defining roles, processes, and ways of working where none exist today. All in line with global OLX policies and culture.
• Own delivery of the stage-one marketplace launch, built as a product seeded with existing OLX Ukraine listings.
• Drive supply-side growth and listing volume as the top priority through the first quarter after launch.
• Partner with a future sales team to design and roll out a premium-visibility (monetization) offer for sellers once supply scale is established.
• Track the competitive landscape — classifieds players, other two-sided marketplaces, and large dealer and real estate groups — to inform positioning and prioritization.
• Cooperate closely with global Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams, providing customer insights and market information to steer the vision and roll out of products and features.

Key skills and experience

• Based in Ukraine, or a Ukrainian national currently abroad who is willing and able to relocate back. Being on the ground is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
• Proven experience in a marketplace or classifieds business, ideally with exposure to "flywheel" dynamics (supply driving demand driving further supply). This matters more than sector-specific sales experience or prior automotive or real estate expertise.
• Alternatively, strong commercial leadership, business development, or sales experience from sectors where supply-partner cooperation is central and the consumer is at the heart of the business model — for example, payments, telecom, mobility, food delivery, or other two-sided platform environments.
• Strong communicator with a demonstrated track record of building relationships with local business owners, dealers, and partners.
• Comfortable building from zero: energized by defining process, hiring a team, and creating structure in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Experience in the automotive or real estate sector, prior experience in a founder, country-launch, or “zero-to-one” commercial role will be a plus.
• Someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and a "desire to win".
