Job Description


We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer with specialized expertise in semiconductor technology. The successful candidate will lead our efforts in the double pulse testing of power modules, simulation of power semiconductor losses in Plecs or MATLAB, and lifetime analysis of power electronic components. This role is critical for ensuring the optimization and reliability of our traction inverters, contributing to the advancement of our electric vehicle technologies. Additionally, this role involves the responsibilities and qualifications outlined for the Hardware Engineer position, emphasizing the design and analysis of power converters, experimental validation of prototypes, and collaboration within our team of international experts.


  • Lead the development and execution of double pulse tests for power modules.

  • Conduct detailed simulations of power semiconductor losses using Plecs or MATLAB.

  • Perform lifetime analysis of power electronic components to ensure long-term reliability.

  • Collaborate with the hardware design team to integrate semiconductor technologies into

    traction inverters.

  • Design and analysis of power converters for traction inverters.

  • Conduct experimental validation of prototypes in the laboratory.

  • Write and execute detailed test cases for hardware validation.

  • Collaborate closely with a team of international experts to meet project deadlines and achieve high standards of quality


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; Master's or PhD is preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in power electronics, with a focus on semiconductor technology.

  • Proficiency in microcontroller units (MCU) and experience with the design and analysis of power converters.

  • Familiarity with DFMEA, FMEDA, WCA, and functional safety standards (ISO 26262) is highly desirable.

  • Simulation experience with LTspice, Plecs, and MATLAB is preferred.

  • Hands-on laboratory experience, including experimental validation of prototypes and test execution.

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems like Codebeamer is advantageous.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet set deadlines.
