YOUR TASKSAbout the role: Technically lead HV BMS projects based on customer requirements and architecture, guiding a small team through development from concept to validation.Technically lead and coordinate a small team of hardware engineers across HV BMS project activities and deadlinesDistribute, track, and review project activities and deliverables for allocated colleaguesDefine hardware development tasks and guide the team based on existing specifications and architecturesDrive design and validation of temperature, voltage, and current sensing circuits for HV battery systems, reviewing team outputsEnsure correct application of isolation principles (galvanic isolation, creepage/clearance, isolated communication) across the team's designsOversee design and evaluation of the BMS module's internal power supply, including isolated DC-DC converter stages and PMIC selectionGuide microcontroller selection, port list definition, and clock/oscillator (quartz) circuit designReview and approve circuit diagrams, worst case calculations, and simulations produced by the teamDefine test specifications and oversee hardware electrical testing on development samplesOwn process documentation for the project (planning, module docu., layout requirements, FMEA) and ensure team complianceAct as the main technical point of contact between the design team, experts, project management, and the customerMentor and support the technical growth of team membersWorking within Hella Design and Development Centers WorldwideWHY APPLY?

YOUR QUALIFICATIONSStrong, hands-on expertise in high-voltage electronics for automotive applications10y relevant experience in electronic development Advanced knowledge of temperature, voltage, and current sensing circuit design
Solid understanding of isolation principles: galvanic isolation, isolated signal/power transfer, creepage and clearance requirementsMedium-level knowledge of digital electronicsExperience with microcontroller selection and port list definitionExperience with quartz/oscillator circuit designExperience with PMICs and power supply design for control modules, including isolated DC-DC converter stagesKnowledge of communication protocols (e.g., LIN, CAN, SPI, I2C)Ability to develop each project from scratch according to company processesCore competences: Schematic design, Worst Case calculations, Electrical Simulation, FUSA, HW Testing, Customer InteractionPrior experience technically leading a project or small team of hardware engineersAbility to plan, distribute, and review technical work across a teamStrong ownership mindset, with confidence acting as the main technical contact for customers and project managementMentoring skills, with the ability to support the technical growth of less experienced engineersAdvanced English (C1/C2 – Proficient)
