That's what we're doing at Visma e-conomic with the Growth Lab - a small team with a mandate to find, validate, and launch the ventures that could fuel the next decade of growth.

The Growth Lab has spent the past year learning what works - and what doesn't. Now we're running a sharper model: more structured ideation, and ventures that execute against clear gates, driven by dedicated founders and venture teams. As our new Senior Growth Strategist, you can be the venture consultant attached to those ventures - as well as bringing structure to the chaos of ideation, helping founders shape loose ideas into real businesses, keeping the gates honest, and making sure the best bets move forward, fast.

Your Impact

This isn't a role where you inherit a 100% playbook. You help refine and improve it. In practice, your weeks will mix:

• Driving structured ideation: designing and running our quarterly ideation sprints and workshops, and shaping ideas into potential ventures through market research and explorations - ending in clear bet/no-bet recommendations.
• Sparring with founders and venture teams: maturing the idea, finding product-market fit, and building the business case.
• Setting up gates at the start of each venture and preparing venture boards: what the gates say, what the data says, and how to proceed.
• Connecting: bringing the right people together, mobilising resources, clearing roadblocks, and keeping momentum high.
• Keeping updated on the start-up environment and participating in events.

As ventures launch through the year, the balance shifts from ideation toward the ventures.

Your Team

You'll join a small, ambitious squad of 4 permanent members. We frequently draw on colleagues across Product and Strategy who dedicate part of their time to the Lab, and on the founders and venture teams driving our ventures.

We're not here to build features. We're here to select the big bets, put the right people on them, and make them succeed - and you'll have high independence to shape how we work.

The Honest Part

Here's the truth: most ventures fail. Even the ones backed by big companies.

That's why the Growth Lab exists. To test, learn and figure out which big bets are actually worth scaling. Some ideas will fly. Most won't. That's why we set clear gates for ventures from day one - and keep them. Killing a venture on its gates is a success of the model, not a failure.

To thrive here, you'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity. We don't have all the answers. We haven't figured everything out. And we don't expect you to either. What we do hope is that you:

• Stay curious and humble - every "failed" idea carries learnings that feed the next.
• Move fast - but respect the gates.
• Roll up your sleeves - e.g., proving customer desirability is often unglamorous work, and you find a way to get it done.

What We're Looking For

We imagine you bring some of this to the table:

• 3-5 years of experience from consulting, business development, venture fund, or similar.
• A strategic mindset - and a structured one: you bring clarity to messy ideas.
• Advisor instincts: you can help a founder move from a loose idea toward product-market fit, and you know when to push and when to stop.
• Workshop facilitation: you can prepare, run and follow up sessions that turn ideas into next steps.
• Research & synthesis: you digest scattered inputs and turn them into actionable recommendations.
• Stakeholder communication: you build trust and alignment across both senior leaders and hands-on teams.
• Proactivity, execution & ownership: you define what's next without waiting for instructions.
• Fluency in Danish, as many of your customer and stakeholder interactions will take place in Danish.

Bonus if you also bring:

• A commercial mindset: able to think in business models, not just processes.
• Interest in the start-up scene and potential founder ambitions of your own - this role could be a strong springboard.

The Interview Process

Applications are reviewed continuously, and we invite candidates for interviews as we go.

• Initial screening: Brief initial chat with Juliette, Talent Acquisition Partner to learn more about your motivation.
• 1st interview: Meet Laura Pop Knudsen, Senior Growth Strategist, to learn more about you and the role. Interview duration: ~60 min.
• 2nd interview: Meet Laura and Christian Wook, the CPO. Dive deeper into the role, where you'll receive a personality test in advance, and a case for you to prepare (total prep: ~2-3 hours). Interview duration: ~90 min.

If all interviews align, we typically follow up with 1-2 short reference calls as part of the process.
