About Housing Connector
Housing Connector is a nonprofit that builds partnerships to increase access to housing for people facing barriers. We work across property owners, nonprofits, and public agencies to move people into stable homes faster.
We’ve helped over 12,000 people secure housing and are expanding into new cities and markets across the country. Each new market brings new funding structures, partnerships, and local requirements that shape how we operate.
As we grow, our ability to manage funding consistently across markets is critical to sustaining and expanding our impact.
About the Role
The Senior Grants & Compliance Accountant owns the financial execution of our grant and contract portfolio, ensuring we meet all funding, reporting, and regulatory requirements with accuracy and consistency.
This role sits at the intersection of finance and compliance, translating contract terms and funder requirements into clear financial processes, reporting, and controls. You will manage invoicing, track allowable use of funds, and maintain a comprehensive compliance calendar to ensure all obligations are met on time.
As our funding portfolio grows in size and complexity, this role is critical to maintaining audit readiness and operational discipline. You will partner cross-functionally with Finance, Program, Development, and external partners to align financial reporting with program delivery while strengthening how we manage contracts, reporting workflows, and compliance requirements.
This is a high-ownership individual contributor role. You are expected not only to execute but to improve and build the systems that connect contracts, budgets, invoicing, and reporting so the organization can scale responsibly and maintain trust with funders.
