Senior Grants Specialist

As a Senior Grants Specialist at ICON, you will be responsible for overseeing grant processes, ensuring compliance, and provide expert guidance to support effective grant administration and strategic funding initiatives.

What You Will Do:

You will lead on proposal development tasks requiring technical depth, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and overseeing all aspects of the grant lifecycle, including proposal review, award management, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
  • Providing expert analysis and evaluation of grant proposals, budgets, and performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements.
  • Ensuring adherence to grant regulations, donor requirements, and internal policies, and implementing best practices in grant management.
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports on grant performance, financial status, and compliance, and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, program managers, and external partners, to support and optimize grant-related activities and initiatives.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, funding opportunities, and regulatory changes to enhance grant management practices and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior staff and leading efforts to improve grant management processes and practices within the team.

Your Profile:

You will have a strong foundation in proposal development, with the experience to work independently and guide others.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in grants management and administration, with a proven track record of managing complex grant processes and ensuring compliance.
  • Deep understanding of grant regulations, donor requirements, and best practices in grant management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate grant proposals, assess budgets, and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in grants management software and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
