
The Washington State and Global Employee Engagement (WSGEE) team is seeking a Senior Government Affairs Manager to work in a fast-paced environment to provide programmatic support, policy and advocacy strategy execution, government affairs outreach, and project management. This individual will be a critical member of the team, working cross-functionally across our government, community, and employee engagement teams to support our home state and the Cascadia region (WA, OR, BC) as a whole. The position will work closely with the Senior Director of Government Affairs, as well as other members of the WSGEE team, providing political and strategic analysis and recommendations that inform and execute our advocacy strategy, policy positioning, and relationship development.
This opportunity will allow you to deepen and grow Microsoft’s partnerships and influence with elected and appointed officials with an emphasis on state and local officials across Washington state. You will play a key role in ensuring the government affairs team within WSGEE stays coordinated and aligned on policy positions and priority areas of work. In this role you will be a systems-thinker and proactive problem solver, creative, motivated, and personable, capable of building strong relationships and juggling multiple priorities, with a strong drive for results and commitment to excellence. You will research government affairs issues impacting business strategy and economic development, attend meetings and events, develop prep materials, and collaborate with internal teams on cross-team projects.
Government Affairs IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $105,800 - $204,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $138,400 - $223,300 per year.
