As part of this expansion, we are strengthening our engineering team and are looking for a Senior Golang Software Engineer to join our Message Squad

About the Team – Message Squad

The Message Squad builds and maintains services that enable communication across multiple text-based channels. Initially focused on email, the team is now expanding into a broader messaging platform integrating channels such as WhatsApp, SMS, and social networks.

Team composition:

  • 7 backend engineers
  • 2 QA engineers

Tech Stack

  • Languages: Golang (80%), Java (20%)
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Messaging: RabbitMQ
  • Caching: Redis
  • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki

Key Focus Areas

  • Enhancing messaging features (templates, quick replies, voice messages)
  • Building a unified ticketing system for multi-channel communication
  • Collaborating with other squads on cross-functional features

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development within product-focused companies (B2B or B2C)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Golang
  • Strong experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with message brokers (preferably RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with caching systems (preferably Redis)
  • Experience with libraries such as gin-gonic, go-jet, amqp091, gRPC
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API design
  • Ability to make architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs (performance, scalability, reliability)
  • Strong autonomy and leadership potential, with willingness to grow into a lead role
  • Comfortable working with and improving existing (including legacy) codebases
  • Strong engineering culture, attention to detail, and product mindset
  • Fluent in English

Valuable assets

  • Experience with Java / Spring
  • Experience designing and building distributed systems
  • Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

Recruitment Process

  1. Introductory call with Talent Acquisition
  2. Live coding session with a Lead Software Engineer (1 hour)
  3. System design interview with a Lead Software Engineer (1.5 hours, screen sharing)
  4. Final cultural fit interview with the Head of Software Engineering (1 hour)
