Job Description

The Amazon Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Ground Infrastructure organization builds and operates Ground Terminal sites worldwide to support Amazon Leo's satellite constellation. The Portfolio Management team owns the lease and fiber agreement lifecycle across this rapidly scaling global footprint. We are looking for a senior portfolio manager who will lead lease administration strategy, drive AI-enabled automation, resolve high-priority escalations, and build scalable processes for a portfolio that is growing faster than traditional real estate programs.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
1. 5-7 years in lease administration, contract management, vendor management, or program management
2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
3. Experience with commercial lease administration software
4. Familiarity with current lease accounting standards
5. Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes across multiple teams and senior stakeholders
6. Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve ambiguous, high-impact problems

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience managing large-scale, geographically distributed portfolios (50+ assets across multiple countries)
2. Knowledge of commercial real estate leasing, fiber optic agreements, or telecommunications infrastructure
3. Experience building and deploying automation or AI tools to streamline operational workflows

A day in the life
You start by triaging escalations—unblocking landlord disputes or payment discrepancies your team cannot resolve independently. You audit lease data integrity, approve abstracted records, and review critical date dashboards to protect against missed deadlines. You partner with real estate and fiber acquisition, as well construction, leads to align lease timelines with site builds, then shift focus to refining the AI-enabled workflows that are eliminating manual processing across the portfolio. Your day closes by advancing strategy: updating SOPs, reviewing KPI trends, and ensuring your processes scale with LEO's accelerating global expansion.

About the team
What if you could help connect the world from space? The Operations Portfolio & Programs (O2P) team within Amazon's LEO Ground Infrastructure organization is building a portfolio management function from scratch—designed for speed, scale, and AI-driven automation. We're not inheriting legacy processes; we're writing the playbook for managing ground station agreements across six continents. You'll work alongside engineers building satellite terminals, construction teams in remote locations worldwide, and operations leaders running critical infrastructure 24/7. Your decisions directly impact how quickly Amazon delivers satellite connectivity to communities around the world.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience in commercial real estate or lease administration within an industrial, commercial, and/or data center environment
- Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
