We are seeking a Senior Global Medical Affairs Leader(SrGMAL) to join us at one of our dynamicGlobal hubs! The Senior GMALwill lead and develop the strategy and lifecycle management of our assets inLymphoma, particularly Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Diffuse Large B cell lymphomaThis position will work closely with Oncology Business Unit (OBU) Medical peers to ensure creation anddelivery of an integrated strategy and indication medical plans, ultimately having full responsibility for the Multiple Myeloma assets medical plan.

What You'll Do:

Serving asaHematologystrategic leader, accountable for the development anddeliveryof theglobalmedicaltumorstrategy, the key tasks of the Senior GMAL include:

  • Representsthe Medical vision in key internal forums (e.g. GPT, MIT), driving agenda items andactioning accordingly

  • Lead MIT for core indications or brands and / or Indication lead, responsible for evidence & confidence strategy

  • Accountable for independent engagement with senior stakeholder across functions and markets to ensure input and alignment with cross-functional colleagues

  • Leads medical plan development in alignment with overarching brand strategy in collaboration with GlobalMedical Integration Team(MIT) and cross functional partners

  • Provides strategic input into GPTindicationcross-functional strategy based on Medical and Evidence Generation outputs thatultimately complementthe R&D development plan of priority products

  • Responsiblefor the development, direction and implementation of the Evidence Generation Strategyand Medical Affairs studies

  • Lead the RWE strategy providing input into concept development ofReal WorldStudies to garner patient experience in areal worldsetting

  • Engages cross functionally to gain insight needs, understand the patient journey, and develop a multifaceted tactical plan to deliver, including Advisory boards, KEE 1;1 etc.

  • Serve as Strategic Lead for Advisory boards including developing a strategic plan for ad boards, shaping the agendas, and working collaboratively to ensure the right stakeholders are included in discussions to seek insights on the changing medical landscapes and evidence generation activities

  • Accountable for ensuring medical material as scientificallyaccuratein line with the agreed scientific narrative/data readouts

  • Partners with Oncology Medical Training (OMT) organization to ensure all training needs for internal stakeholders is planned and delivered

  • Develops medical education strategy and educationalobjectives,Identifieskey tactical opportunities and measurement of program success

  • Accountable for the development of the publications strategy and plan including data analysis and enduring asset strategy

  • Responsiblefor budget across medical affairs and capabilities teams for delivery of tactical plan

  • Ensures that all Medical and business activities are carried out in compliance with AZ standards, standard operatingproceduresand external regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum ofMaster’sdegree in a scientific discipline or equivalent medical/scientific qualifications and/or significant industry and/or therapeutic experience.

  • At least 6 years of senior/specialized experience within pharma/life sciences and/or medical experience

  • Significant understanding of the overall drug development process

  • Extensive Project/Medical planning experience

  • Ability to apply data and insights to priorities medical plans and studies

  • Experience of developing strategy and translating strategy into action plans

  • Strong customer and communication skills with a strong situational influencing style/ability

  • Experience and ability to influence strategically and persuade tactfully, to obtain desired outcomes whilemaintainingeffective, positive organizational relationship

  • Expertisein product launches and/or mature brand development

  • Experience and strong ability to evaluate, interpret and presenthighly complexdata for a series of studies (prospective and retrospective)

  • Strong experience of large market and/or global branding medical drugs within a pharmaceutical industry/oncology setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Scientific degree (MD,PhD, PharmD);this position will focus onLymphomaPreferred3years Global/Regional Medical leadership experience or3+ years in a Senior Leadership Role in a large market

  • Country launch experience is preferred

  • Experience leading, promoting,motivatingand empowering others toaccomplishindividual, team and organizational objectives

  • This position will be based inBarcelona(Spain)
