Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Strategy

• Manage global indirect tax filings, including VAT, GST, and Sales Tax to ensure accurate indirect submission and accounting records.
• Lead the administration of jurisdictions, accounts, nexus, etc… Including the registration of supported entities to ensure compliance.
• Work with the Manager/Sr. Manager of Indirect Taxes to understand changes in tax laws worldwide to ensure prompt corporate adaptation.
• Support tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities.
• Develop with manager/Sr. manager a global process and strategy for the centralization of other indirect taxes such as VAT/GST, WHT, property taxes and business licenses and etc

Operations & Technology

• Support tax software and automation tools within the ERP system.
• Assist the General Accounting Team to reconcile tax accounts in the general ledger.
• Establish internal controls to prevent compliance errors and penalties.

Advisory & Collaboration

• Advise business units on the tax impact of changes, special projects and other business scenarios.
• Support the manager/ Sr. Manager of Indirect Tax with M&A activities by conducting thorough indirect tax due diligence.
• Train internal teams on global indirect tax policies and invoicing rules.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of specialized experience in international indirect tax.
• Prior experience in a multinational corporation or Big 4 accounting firm.

Skills & Certifications

• Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA, or CTA).
• Deep knowledge of VAT/GST/WHT/Transfer Pricing mechanisms and US Sales & Use tax.
• ERP proficiency in systems like SAP, Oracle, Vertex, or Avalara.

• Strong communication skills to explain complex tax concepts simply.
