As the Senior GL accountant for Tessenderlo Kerley, you will support the accounting team while working with various internal departments and occasionally external auditors.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly accruals, complex journal entries (including payroll accounting) and general ledger activities within SAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Own critical account reconciliations and perform in-depth financials analysis, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies while providing clear, concise explanations to management and business partners.
  • Partner with the General Ledger and Treasury Manager to drive and enhance the month-end close process, identifying efficiencies, reducing close timelines and implementing best practices across the function.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and implement Corporate, Group, US GAAP, and/or IFRS account policies and changes, serving as a subject matter expert and advising stakeholders on accounting treatment and implications.
  • Strengthen and monitor internal controls, particularly within the Fixed Asset function, ensuring internal control compliance and identifying opportunities for enhancements.
  • Review and interpret financial results, providing meaningful insights and actionable recommendations to business partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key backup and support resource for cash management and banking activities across Tessenderlo Kerley entities, ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Provide leadership on ad hoc analysis and special projects, supporting strategic initiatives and senior management decision-making
  • Assist with managing financial information and support needed for the annual audit process.
  • Identify and recommend automation and process improvement solutions while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting standards, processes, reporting, and systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as a diverse team member in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • High proficiency in IT skills (SAP or equivalent ERP system, Excel, Word, Business Intelligence-BI are a plus).
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to add value to group outcomes through collaboration and developing effective working relationships.
  • Hands-on approach with attention to detail, reliability, and a “get it done” attitude.
  • High proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well organized and be able to effectively work with others and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, assertive and strong team player.

In unseren Werken, die sich in den Niederlanden, in Deutschland und Ungarn befinden, stellen wir ein breit gefächertes Angebot an Formteilen und Zubehörteilen für Kunststoffrohrleitungen unserer Kunden in vielen verschiedenen Ländern Europas her. Für unsere hochqualitativen Formteile verwenden wir verschiedene Materialien wie PVC, PP, PE-HD, Polystyrol, etc., um sicherzustellen, dass die bestmögliche Qualität erzielt werden kann.

Die BT Nyloplast Werke sind alle nach ISO 9001, ISO 14001 und ISO 50001 zertifiziert. Außerdem erfüllen wir weitere bedeutende europäische Qualitätsanforderungen.

Wir verfolgen einen flexiblen Ansatz, um den Anforderungen unserer Kunden gerecht zu werden und wir arbeiten eng mit ihnen zusammen, um das richtige Formteil für den Anschluss aller Arten von Kunststoffrohren zu entwickeln, wobei gleichzeitig die Produktlanglebigkeit berücksichtigt wird.
