Senior GIS Expert / GIS Architect
Location: Couillet (Charleroi), Belgium – Hybrid (minimum 2 days on-site)
Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable
Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an experienced GIS Expert to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise geospatial solutions within a large-scale water and infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Conduct workshops with business users and gather functional requirements
• 
  Analyze and challenge business needs to ensure feasibility and added value
• 
  Produce detailed functional specifications, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• 
  Model business processes and data flows using UML/BPMN
• 
  Configure and develop ArcGIS applications (Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards)
• 
  Publish and manage services within ArcGIS Enterprise
• 
  Design and optimize FME workflows and geospatial data integrations
• 
  Integrate REST/OGC web services and PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases
• 
  Support testing activities, UAT, documentation, and change management
• 
  Automate geospatial processes using Python (ArcPy)

Required Skills & Experience

• 
  10+ years of experience in GIS functional analysis and/or GIS development
• 
  Strong expertise with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise administration
• 
  Experience with Utility Network concepts and geospatial data modeling
• 
  Strong SQL, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS knowledge
• 
  Expertise in Python scripting and GIS automation
• 
  Experience with FME Desktop/Flow workflows
• 
  Knowledge of UML, BPMN, DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices
• 
  Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have

• 
  Esri or FME certifications
• 
  Experience in water, wastewater, or public utility GIS projects
• 
  Technical English knowledge

Languages

• 
  French: Native or bilingual proficiency required
• 
  English: Technical knowledge required
