Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Platform Developer to design, develop, and support Field Data Collection (FDC) solutions for a large, globally distributed Environmental Services business.

The role involves building scalable, user‑friendly digital forms, workflows, and reporting solutions using ESRI ArcGIS platforms and Microsoft Power Platform You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional leads and developers to translate requirements into reliable production solutions.

This position requires strong hands‑on technical expertise, ownership mindset, and the ability to support solutions end‑to‑end—from design to deployment and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Delivery

  • Design and develop Field Data Collection (FDC) forms and workflows, converting paper‑based or legacy digital processes into modern solutions.
  • Build and enhance applications using:
    • ESRI ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
    • Survey123, Field Maps, Workforce, Experience Builder
    • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Develop reusable components and standards to support scalability and consistency.
  • Integrate multiple data sources, including SharePoint, databases, and external systems.

Technical Ownership

  • Independently handle solution lifecycle activities: development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Review code and configurations developed by junior team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and quality standards.
  • Adhere strictly to organizational data security and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand functional needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Work closely with global teams and align deliverables across time zones.
  • Proactively communicate risks, issues, and resolution plans.

Testing & Support

  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) including test case preparation, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Provide production support to ensure business users remain productive.
  • Assist and mentor citizen developers in using ESRI and Power Platform tools effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Experience

  • 7+ years of overall software development experience.
  • 5–7 years hands‑on experience with ESRI Field Data Collection tools:
    • Survey123
    • Field Maps
    • ArcGIS Online
    • Experience Builder
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform
    • Power Apps (Canvas apps preferred)
    • Power Automate
    • Power BI (basic to intermediate)
  • Experience developing enterprise‑scale, production‑ready applications.
  • Understanding of Agile development practices.

Good to Have

  • Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions
  • SQL Server / Reporting Services
  • Integration with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Tools such as Jira, GitLab, Confluence
  • User‑centric UI/UX design experience

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Self‑driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and support cross‑functional teams
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
