As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer within our Civil Engineering Branch in Nuclear Services, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the delivery of major projects such as Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C, while also contributing to the safety and longevity of our existing nuclear fleet. You’ll provide technical leadership across geotechnical design, including seismic assessments and soil-structure interaction, ensuring designs meet stringent regulatory and safety case requirements. This is an opportunity to work on technically complex challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, and enhance your career in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment—while contributing to EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain.
This role can be based at Gloucester Business Park or Glasgow, with hybrid working arrangements that typically include 2–3 days in the office per week. There will be regular collaboration with designers, regulators, and stakeholders across sites, with travel to Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and other EDF locations as needed, alongside occasional international opportunities.
