Key Responsibilities
Technical & Project Delivery
Plan & interpret geotechnical site investigations (drilling, sampling, field testing, laboratory testing)
Develop design solutions for geotechnical problems and challenges
Perform geotechnical analyses including
Foundation design (shallow and deep)
Slope stability, Settlement analysis,
Earth retaining structures
Ground improvement
Risk mitigation & solutioning for problematic ground condition
Seepage and groundwater assessment
Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications, and design drawings (with assistant of engineer and drafter)
Develop geotechnical design recommendations.
Conduct visit for construction support, site inspections, and troubleshooting
Project Management
Lead geotechnical components of multidisciplinary projects
Develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and proposals
Manage project risks and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulators, and internal teams
Leadership & Mentoring
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
Review designs and reports
Promote best practices and continuous improvement
Support staff training and professional development
Business Development & Client Relations
Support proposal preparation and technical presentations
Identify opportunities for new work and service expansion
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and environmental regulations
Promote safe field and construction practices
Follow company QA/QC procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
5 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience
Proven experience leading projects and teams
Certifications
SKA G0 or G1
Relevant professional memberships preferred
Technical Skills
Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, OpenGround, LPILE, Settle3)
Proficiency in developing hand/ excel calculation for sanity check analysis
Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles
Experience with field investigations and laboratory testing programs
Knowledge of local design codes and standards

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Working Conditions
Jakarta based Hybrid (Office & WFH Combination) of office, field, and construction site work
Occasional travel required to field/construction site work/remote client visiting
Preferred (Optional Add-ons depending on your organization) Experience with large infrastructure or energy projects
Experience in seismic geotechnical engineering
