
Salary range - $88,528 to $125,000 per annum plus 3.5% KiwiSaver contribution

The Auckland Council Geospatial team is passionate about transforming Auckland through the power of location intelligence and to this end operates an enterprise GIS that supports several exceptional products and solutions for Auckland Council and its customers.
There is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Geospatial Specialist to drive the delivery and coordination of high-level geospatial services to support the Planning and Resource Consents department work programme, through the effective use of Councils enterprise level geographic information systems, applications, and data. This busy and varied position will give you an opportunity to work with our small and highly skilled GIS team alongside our planners and technical experts on topics such as land use, heritage, natural hazards, water quality, and landscape protection. Many projects in our work programme require spatial and visual data analysis and mapping. You will work with the latest technology in one of the largest enterprise and project environments.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will be an energetic and passionate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) professional with at least 5 years’ experience performing quality cartographic mapping, spatial and visual data analysis, web GIS delivery and editing using GIS and desktop software applications. You have a degree or diploma in geography or GIS and/or design or equivalent work experience. Must have experience and knowledge using at least some of the following products – ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro), ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server (web services), Adobe Suite, Web GIS (ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Portal), Safe FME technology. You will be at a great advantage if you have experience working with Māori or within Māori paradigms.
