GeoResource Ltd is working with a TSXV-listed exploration company advancing a resource-stage Cu-Au-Ag porphyry project in Central Asia. The project combines an established copper-gold-silver resource with district-scale exploration upside and multiple untested porphyry targets.
They are seeking a Senior Geologist to lead the on-the-ground technical programme for the 2026 field season, supervise an active drill campaign, and serve as the primary site-based interface to the company’s QP and head office. This is a hands-on role for a porphyry-trained geologist who is comfortable owning the technical side of a resource-stage project in a fast-moving TSXV-listed environment.
This role suits a geologist with deep Cu-Au porphyry experience, who can comfortably manage local crews and contractors, deliver English-language technical reporting to head office, and is ready to play a central role in updating a significant copper-gold-silver resource.
•Provide on-site technical oversight of an active diamond drill programme
•Manage day-to-day exploration operations including core logging, sampling, QA/QC, and database management
•Supervise and coordinate drilling contractors, field crews, and Russian-speaking local staff
•Interpret drill results and contribute to geological modelling, alteration mapping, and resource definition workflows
•Support the integrated reprocessing and targeting programme for resource expansion and satellite porphyry targets
•Ensure all exploration activities meet NI 43-101 standards and public company reporting requirements
•Prepare technical summaries and contribute to news release content in coordination with the QP and management
•Manage field-level budgets, scheduling, and operational logistics in a lean junior environment
•Degree in Geology or related discipline; MSc preferred
•10+ years of exploration experience with a strong focus on Cu-Au or Cu-Au-Ag porphyry systems
•Minimum 8 years hands-on porphyry experience, including alteration logging, vein paragenesis, and 3D geological modelling
•CAOB / Central Asia / Tethyan belt experience strongly preferred but strong porphyry experience elsewhere will be considered
•English essential for head-office reporting
•Additional regional language an asset
•Demonstrated ability to manage active drill programmes, including multi-rig environments
•Proficiency in Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, ArcGIS or equivalent
•Familiarity with resource estimation workflows and NI 43-101 reporting standards
•Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial TSXV-listed junior with shifting priorities
•Currently based in the region preferred; rotation from a regional base or Europe also considered
•QP designation an asset
•Senior technical role with real influence on a resource-stage Cu-Au-Ag porphyry project at a critical inflection point
•Direct technical leadership across drill operations, geological modelling, alteration mapping, and resource definition workflows in a TSXV-listed environment
•High-visibility position at a company advancing a significant copper-gold-silver project in one of the world’s most prospective porphyry belts
