About the Opportunity

GeoResource Ltd is working with a well-funded junior gold exploration company operating in Quebec. The company is running a large active drill program. They are well financed and have strong institutional interest and significant newsflow ahead.

They are seeking a Senior Geologist to provide technical oversight of an active multi-rig drill program, manage day-to-day exploration operations, and serve as the primary on-the-ground technical lead. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving junior environment and is comfortable owning the technical side of a large program.

This role suits a geologist who has experience in Archean greenstone gold terranes in Quebec. Can comfortably manage contractors and drill teams, and is ready to play a central role in defining a significant gold resource.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of an active diamond drill program across multiple rigs
• Manage day-to-day exploration operations including logging, sampling, QAQC, and data management
• Supervise and coordinate drilling contractors, field teams, and technical consultants
• Interpret drill results and contribute to geological modelling and resource definition workflows
• Ensure all exploration activities meet NI 43-101 standards and public company reporting requirements
• Prepare technical summaries and contribute to news release content in coordination with management
• Manage field-level budgets, scheduling, and operational logistics in a lean junior environment
• Liaise effectively with both French and English-speaking personnel, contractors, and stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Geology or related discipline
• Member of the OGQ (Ordre des géologues du Québec) — non-negotiable
• Bilingual French/English
• Quebec-based
• 8–15 years of exploration experience with a strong focus on orogenic/Archean gold
• Archean Greenstone Belt experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage active drill programs, including multi-rig environments
• Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial junior with shifting priorities
• Familiarity with resource estimation workflows and NI 43-101 reporting standards
• QP designation is an asset
