Senior Human Resources Generalist — Springfield, MO Manufacturing ONSITE

Location & Facility Overview

Springfield, Missouri is home to a KraftHeinz manufacturing facility with nearly 1,000 employees. The site was built in the 1950s and has expanded to its current footprint, operating across three business units: Natural Cheese, Processed Cheese, and Dinners (including Blue Box Mac & Cheese). The plant operates 24/7 across multiple shifts.

Under the direction of the Plant HR Business Partner, the Senior Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day administration and execution of HR policies, programs, and processes. This role partners with plant leaders and employees to deliver measurable business results through effective workforce planning, employee relations, engagement, performance management, staffing, compliance, and HR analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Business Support

  • Provide support across core HR processes, including workforce planning, annual review cycles, compensation administration, organizational change/effectiveness, staffing, pipeline development, and hourly recruiting.

HR Analytics & Systems

  • Maintain data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Compile and deliver monthly HR metrics and analytics.

Benefits & Timekeeping Support

  • Assist with benefits administration as needed.
  • Support maintenance and administration of the timekeeping system.

Compliance

  • Participate in internal/external audits and support compliance-related activities.

Employee Engagement

  • Lead People Committee meetings and activities.
  • Drive engagement participation and partner with the business to improve results over time.
  • Coordinate employee events and engagement initiatives.

Employee Relations

  • Support employee relations investigations and resolution of employee questions, issues, and concerns.
  • Communicate outcomes appropriately and ensure consistent application of policies.

Performance Management

  • Partner with leaders to address performance issues.
  • Support disciplinary action administration and lead Issue Resolution meetings.

Recruiting & Talent Pipeline

  • Participate in hiring strategies and recruitment efforts to position Kraft Heinz as an employer of choice in the Springfield market, with emphasis on hourly workforce hiring.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or related HR generalist role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred).
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Experience with Workday Cloud, Dayforce, or Indeavor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of current employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience leading or managing people.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$77,800.00 - $97,300.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
