Our Senior Game Designers form part of the core team on each game, working alongside a mathematician, game producer, art director, and sound producer. Within this group, your focus is primarily on the overall player experience, aligning with the mathematician on the core game mechanics and pacing, and then ensuring the audio visual & narrative components work in synergy with them. Our philosophy is collaborative, so we put a strong emphasis on communication skills and transparency, to ensure the team are aligned on goals & solutions.

Your main focus will be working on games, but you will also have the opportunity to help out (based on your skills & experience) with R&D, driving workshops & helping to develop & fine tune our internal tools & processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• A driver of gameplay – identifying suitable combinations of features & mechanics, working closely with math to find the right balance & tuning, iterating & improving throughout development.

• The voice of the player - advocating for them during discussions and when solving problems with the design within the team.

• Seeing the big picture - whilst owning your own areas of the game, you pay close attention to the rest of the development (math, art, & audio in particular) and are actively involved in reviewing the game’s progress across all areas & giving feedback.

• Part of a team – assisting the design department with various initiatives and goals we have (defining best practices, driving workshops, R&D into new genres & markets).

We also expect you to:

• Be a mentor, providing support to less experienced designers both on an ad hoc basis (giving feedback & suggestions on their work) as well as via more structured formal training (driving workshops, providing detailed game analyses)

• Be an expert for one or more key topics within the department (such as our key documents & templates, oversight on the quality of our games, or ensuring we are staying on top of industry standards, trends, & best practices).

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, building consensus in the team you work with for your ideas.

• Strong experience in hands-on, practical game design, alongside a solid grounding in theory, especially in UX and player psychology.

• Good communication skills both in terms of documentation (writing technical documents, creating mock-ups), and in self-expression (articulate, able to present ideas to varying audiences).

• Familiarity with Casino & video slots games.

• Good English proficiency.

• Strong preference will be given for those with experience designing Casino and video slots games.

• Preference will be given for those with experience in social & mobile gaming.
  
  Deliverables first 30 to 90 days:

• Complete onboarding & deliver assigned design tasks on-time.

• Shadow, & subsequently drive, design-related responsibilities of a game project.
  
  Deliverables 3 to 12 months & beyond:

• Deliver all design tasks, as per the project plan & roadmap, on time.

• Provide high- & low-level concepts / designs that align with the product’s vision & business strategy.

• Create & maintain all game design-related documentation during the game’s development.

• Test, tune, & give feedback on games during development.
