Zürcher Kantonalbank's foreign exchange and precious metals trading desk operates around the clock on the global market from our Zurich office. We are always available to our clients via traditional and electronic channels. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious salesperson to join the sales team in the Banks and Central Banks segment for the Central and South American region.

Your tasks
  • You will identify and develop new business opportunities in the foreign exchange, money market and precious metal sectors 
  • You will maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and continuously expand your network 
  • You will manage, analyze and optimize client business via traditional and electronic channels 
  • You understand the needs of your client portfolio and develop tailored hedging strategies 
  • You keep your finger on the pulse of the markets and proactively generate new trading ideas and strategies 
  • You will work closely with various internal departments (Cross Asset & Relationship Managers)


Your profile
  • A university degree (university or university of applied sciences) in economics, finance or a related field – supplemented by the ACI Dealing Certificate and a further recognized certification (e.g. CFA Level I or equivalent) 
  • Several years’ relevant professional experience in the international capital markets, ideally with a focus on Foreign Exchange, Money Market and Precious Metals trading; knowledge of Debt Capital Markets or similar would be an advantage. 
  • A proven track record in sales and advisory, ideally at an international bank or a leading financial institution 
  • At least 8 years' experience advising financial institutions in the Central and South American region, including at least 3 years in an independent or managerial role with portfolio responsibilities 
  • Above-average technical aptitude – in particular, in-depth knowledge of common trading and CRM platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv) as well as a willingness to actively help shape new technologies 
  • High level of self-motivation, strong resilience and the ability to set priorities independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment and deliver high-quality results under pressure 
  • Very good command of Spanish (native or C2), German and English at a business-fluent level (min. C1) – additional languages (particularly Italian) are an advantage 
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the FX Global Code, Money Market Code and Global Precious Metals Code
